Pok is different from the rest. A grey duck with a spiked mohawk (yes, really) and a cute face filled with attitude, he saw his flock dwindle. He felt the sting of helplessness and loss. And when the world told him to “just cheer up” or “look on the bright side,” it only made the pain worse.
That’s the trap of toxic positivity: pretending everything’s fine when it isn’t. It leaves the most vulnerable even more unprotected.
